What is Le Pharaon?

Le Pharaon are our high end professional saxophones.

They are designed and customized by Victoria and Andreas Moe - both German-trained Instrument Makers and the minds behind Moe-Custom Clarinets.

With many unique features, such as hand hammered resonators, our specialized Le Pharaon neck, high quality materials, as well as exquisite set ups put these instruments in a class of their own.

Vision for Sound

With a background in historic restoration of vintage saxophones in both Germany and the US over the last 20+ years, Andreas and Victoria have poured their combined knowledge into the creation of these instruments and it shows.

The Le Pharon offers the projection, richness, and depth of a vintage saxophone, with all of the ease, flexibility, and accessibility modern players expect.

Attention to Detail

Many features set the Le Pharaon apart from other saxophones.

The pads are made for us in Germany after Victoria's design. They are very durable for both the setup and overall longevity. A traditional leather pad is combined with a moisture resistant foam core to ensure that the pad keeps its intended shape.

Andreas hand hammers all of the resonators in house, which gives him another layer of creative control over the sound and allows him to really fine tune its depth and color.

Setups

Andreas has spent over 20 years working on a large variety of saxophones and with a large variety of players. From classical to big band to jazz, from vintage to brand new, he's done it all.

But that is only step one. His precision and attention to detail is unmatched and he brings this perfectionism to every Le Pharaon that leaves his bench.

And the final piece of the puzzle is his care and understanding for both the instrument and the player. As a musician himself he excels at keeping the needs of the player in mind and is able to seamlessly translate them into high end setups.
